Big inspiration starts tiny.

Tiny Talks is a fast-growing event series based in Austin that needed a brand to support their expansion across the country. Each Tiny Talks event features 8 to 9 local speakers giving ten minute or less talks on almost any subject, live without notes. We created a bold brand that felt welcoming, surprising, and unique all at once– just like each Tiny Talks event.

Ranging the emotional spectrum, you never know what you’ll hear in the next ten minutes– and what it might spark in you. Our brand idea centered on the fact that sometimes inspiration comes from the most surprising sources. Tiny Talks is the perfect place to find it.

To communicate the fun, surprise, and inspiration at these events, we knew Tiny Talks had to be boldly unafraid to be themselves. We developed a punchy brand voice, bright colors, and strong typography to communicate the vibe.

We were conscious about building a brand that Tiny Talks could use today, without an on-staff design team. We created a library of hand drawn graphic elements to appropriate event photography for an immediately branded look. By keeping images mainly black and white, they could create cohesion even while using different local photographers for each event.
