The Downtown Center Improvement District (DCBID) is a driving force of economic development in DTLA. Flux has been the creative strategists for the DCBID for the last ten years, helping to bring the story of Downtown to life across digital, print, and experiential touchpoints.
The DCBID needed help with brand clarity– their website, DowntownLA.com, had grown organically over the years and needed major restructuring, redesign, and SEO to support their work and reach their constituents.
We undertook a comprehensive audit of back-end programming, user experience, and information architecture to determine the best way forward. With a deep dive into their audiences and brand story, we crafted new messaging that would resonate across targets.
Our campaigns showcase DTLA as a premiere location to live, work, and play. “DTLA Works” targeted office tenants across industries, while the “Art of Retail” was geared toward leasing storefront spaces. In conjunction with an overarching 2020 campaign strategy, we helped the DCBID position themselves as a major force in shaping the present and future of this fast growing area.
