Spotify’s DTLA studio is a new epicenter for all kinds of sound. A state of the art facility for creating music and podcasts, Spotify Studios came to us for a collection of branded merchandise to celebrate their grand opening.
Spotify Studios was seeking to promote their expansion from streaming into music and podcast production. We designed a capsule collection of accessories and apparel based around the concept of sound, the fundamental method of communication, and its many visual manifestations.
Juxtaposing and collaging sound imagery like layered tracks on a beat, the collection visualizes the Spotify Studios sonic world. Proudly based in DTLA, we incorporated classic LA imagery to give the brand a true sense of place.
Intended to be given as gifts to artists and contributors, the collection needed to have a high craft, collectible feel. Garment selection and presentation was extremely important. We sourced quality products, used unique printing and embroidery techniques, and designed custom hang tags.
